Background :

The Lotus Project is a Cargill factory that processes corn into tapioca and sweeteners. It is planned to start operating in 2022. As a comprehensive processing plant, Lotus has a waste water treatment facility, one of which is a methane reactor which functions to convert residual sludge from processing into energy that is can be reused. The methane reactor tank should have water and air tightness, so that during processing, no methane gas escapes from the tank.

Products and solutions :

To make the methane reactor tank impermeable to water and gas, so that gas and water do not come out of the tank, a Betec M-5 coating from GCP is carried out on the negative side of the methane reactor tank as a second prisoner even though it has been coated from the inside of the tank.
