Background :

Meiji is one of the major pharmaceutical industries in Indonesia originating from Japan. In an effort to meet drug needs in Indonesia and serve export demand, Meiji Indonesia in 2021 will build a new production facility. At the production facility there is a utility tunnel that functions as a place for cable lines, clean water pipes, hydrants and so on. Problems arise when the production floor coated with epoxy blisters, which is caused by moisture rising from the tunnel when the tunnel is filled with water during the rainy season.

Products and solutions :

In order to prevent moisture from rising to the slab, causing blisters on the epoxy floor, it is necessary to prevent moisture from moving up the slab. Betec M-5, crystalline waterproofing, is used on the inside of the tunnel, to prevent the movement of moisture up the slab.
